Her head dipped, and she smiled. "Yes, that is true. I just sometimes think that when I meet wolves, I can yet faintly remember as if always introduce myself. I guess I think about smell most, though." She smiled, and her nose twitched a bit. "Sorry." She looked up at the sky. "But yet you are wise with other things. We each have our weaknesses and abilities," She began, pondering over her words. "And yet one of yours is forgetting, or not knowing names," She looked to Tara, and then back to her paws. She sat down. "And your leader has been well?" She asked, out of the slightest curiosity.

Tara hesitated. Although she felt guilty over verbally snapping at this friendly wolf, and got on well with her, she wasn't entirely sure if she should completely trust her. Still, Windcatcher had told her the news of her pack, and it wasn't as if this silvery fae was inquiring about the packs most treasured secrets, although, Tara didn't actually think the Aduro pack had any. She was merely asking a most rightly timed question. She tilted her head to the left, pondering how best to answer this difficult inquest.
"That's just it..." She spoke slowly, carefully choosing each and every word with deliberate care. "I would tell you, I really would. But, the thing is... I, nobody actually, has seen her... For quite a while, in fact."
She tried to keep a somewhat light tone, but really the disappearance of her pack's Alphess had been weighing heavily on her mind for quite some time. Earlier she had spoken to Windcatcher about the tragedy that was a pack without an leader. Windcatcher had agreed, but assured her that that issue in the Terminus pack was being quickly resolved. If only that would happen in hers..

WindCatcher's head thingyed to the side as she thought deeply. Tara's pack was without an Alphess. What would come of this? WindCatcher's pack had been resolving the issues and problems within the pack, but now that Tara's pack was without an Alphess, what would happen? What kind of conflict would happen? WindCatcher knew that if the Terminus Pack and Marum Pack got in a battle, the Aduro Pack would choose the Terminus Pack's side. If anything, she knew the Aduro Pack was not as 'both seeing' as the Terminus Pack for. So there for the Aduro Pack would move to her pack if warfare broke out. "Would anyone be willing to take charge in the absence of your leader from time to time?" She asked, out of deep curiosity her mind had been thinking about for quite some time. "If warfare did break out - like you might've guessed - I know that your pack would choose our side. But if your pack was to lead its own side, who would take charge with your leader absent?" She asked, carrying on with her question. Something needed to be resolved...in case war did break out...and before it it too late...

"If we came to war?" Her golden eyes considered the pale beauty in the Ford around them and she spoke slowly. The thought of war, of fighting, of killing... It filled her with cold dread and fear, but something else, something not so easy to define...
"If we came to war I would know where I would stand. My leader might be gone, and my pack might be empty but I would know where I'd stand. This... Malum pack. Wolves of the night. I've seen what they do to the lesser animals and to themselves. If we went to war and the forest was pierced by the cries of our brethren then at least I would know what was happening. Now though... I don't even know if I belong to a pack anymore. Or if the Aduro pack even exists."
She knew she wasn't answering the second question. Who would take over the pack? No, no, she wasn't going to consider that. All she wanted was a pack to accept her. A pack she could belong to. Never had Tara wanted to lead one.

WindCatcher's ears flicked with questions and answers. Tara didn't seem like the type of wolf to lead a pack, but one that would want to be a part of it...not a loner who scavenges off others. Tara had gotten her wish, hadn't she? She had become part of the pack. But yet with their alpha gone...no one would lead the pack in times of warfare. Looking up to the sky, WindCather's eyes followed to a bird flying down to the forest floor. It was so alert...and so...determined. It pecked the ground with its rather sharp yellow beak, pulling up a worm. It's head thingyed in short jerks, and then it flew up into the trees to its nest. "Tara, if...and when warfare is to come, it's always vital to have someone leading. Now to me you don't seem like the type of wolf who would lead. But since you seem so...determined to bring peace, I would say you find a wolf that can take over in your leader's absence. Turmoil would be what would all hate, but I'm afraid that could happen if you do not find someone who can hold responsibility." She paused, and looked back up to the trees. "Tell me, Tara. Have you met any other wolves from the pack?" She smiled, and glanced back down to the wolf. "Besides your alpha?" She added, seeing as it was best to rely on the wolves that Tara had perhaps known as comrades. WindCatcher had met four wolves now. And yet she was seeming to fit it. She could remember the first time that she had been invited to the pack. She had fit comfortably, now, but what about Tara? Was she enjoying her pack life...? Even if she hadn't met any other wolves, surely she must feel good... WindCatcher looked away to a purple flower blowing in the breeze. Her golden eyes returned her gaze to Tara. "Tara, you are a very strong, determined wolf. I know, and you know that without a leader your pack will be destroyed. That is, if it comes to warfare. It will probably not happen. But it is a fifty-fifty chance." Her golden eyes had grown darker - more serious. "I suggest you find someone who can lead on. Even if war does not come, it is important. The pack is not complete without a leader." WindCatcher lifted one side of her lip. Those were the words Elden had said to her when she was discussing the pack's importance without a leader. It made her smile, passing it on to another wolf.
