Listening intently, Kushiel was pleased to hear her response, and an even deeper wave of pleasure washed over him as she uttered the proper title to which he was born. Indeed, it has been too long. "You have my gratitude, Lady Sahtara" he said smoothly, nodding his head slowly as a gesture acknowledging her as his superior; his Alphess.
Kushiel was pleased with himself. He had left his last pack as Beta, and was proud of his ability to keep that rank in a new pack, never mind that there was only two wolves at the moment... It didn't matter. She was the boss, and could have ranked him as she pleased as the omega, just for kicks. Perhaps she saw some worth in this tall ashen brute? Kushiel had trouble suppressing a smirk at his fortune, gazing up at the heavens, the barren trees reaching ever upwards.
A moment passed, and his quick mind soon had an idea. Turning his gilded gaze to the white Alpha, Kushiel asked softly, with a trace of longing in his voice, "My Lady, if it would so please you, I wish to scour the land for others worthy of this pack, but to do that, I must know the name to which we call ourselves..." his voice trailed off hoarsely, his pulse beating quickly in anticipation of her response.

The white alphess was quite happy with herself at the moment, A pack was now hers and clever planning could make it the dominate of the other packs in the land. She looked over to Kushiel once more then nodded in something of satisfaction to the extent she would care to show.
"Malum." the word rolled off of her tongue smoothly, she said it almost as if that was her name.

Malum The word rang in his ear like a clear, deep bell. Kushiel closed his eyes as he let the sensations roll over him, his body strung tight like a bow as he tried to control himself. "Hmmm" was the only sound he made as he opened his eyes, finding the White Witch looking at him. A terrible grin split his maw as he nodded in return. "Excellent".
Kushiel was suddenly finding himself very wound up, his heart twisting painfully, wonderously, aching with sin. His golden eyes clouded over with a red haze as a vision swam before him, of crakced stone and blood. A stern wolven face nodded to him before his eyesight cleared, and he was left to hash out what to do. Could it be possible that this land was home to the God of the d**ned, Wolfbane? His heart raced as he remembered the stone he saw. He had to ask the White Witch if there was such a place for worship.
"My Lady Sahtara, the sinister nature of this place has provoked a most interesting response in me, and I am curious to know if we Malum's are privileged to be home to an altar in honor of dire Wolfbane?" His voice was rich and smooth, and almost certain that the answer would be 'yes'. His instincts were too strong to deny where the Gods were concerned...

Sahtara's excitement showed little but a short wave of emotion writhed within the seemingly hollow wolf. She already silently plotted the downfalls of any foolish enough to stand in the way of Malum, soon enough the pack lands would be sprouting with sinful wolves to follow Wolf Bane under her command. The d**ned would surely seek a home eventually.
"Yes, My Lord Kushiel. The dark, bloodstained stones set by Wolf Bane exist here. " she explained.

Kushiel closed his eyes briefly, whatever smile he may have had was now a ghost as his mind realized what must need be done. It was time for him to pay a visit to this said altar and pay his respects to his Deity. Speaking softly, Kushiel gave a curt response to the White Witch "My thanks, my Lady. There is something I must do..." With that he gave her a bow of the head before walking past her ivory pelt, further into the heart of the Malum territory. Directions to this altar were not needed. Kushiel's twisted heart would lead him to it.
