THUD!!!!
The small pup pounced down on his prey, devastating in size compared to the small rodent he was hunting. Smiling he lifted up his paw, careful not to let his captive escape from him. However, he found that there was nothing else but powdery snow under foot. Instantly his small head shot left and right looking for the small morsel that eluded his pounce. There he goes! The little mouse scurried along the snowy floor attempting to escape the small rogue pup. "Halt! You can't escape that easily! Revenge will be mine!" the pup called out, imagining that the situation was much more drastic. Perhaps imagining himself as a big warrior wolf while this small rodent was a life long enemy. "Get back here you coward!" He growled, chasing after the scampering little thing. Pouncing too and fro, narrowly missing the little mouse each time. Hunting had become somewhat of a game to the small pup. While he was having fun, the little mouse was desperately running for it's life. Oblivious to the pups playful rants of revenge and cowardice, it just wanted to get away from the rogue.
"Nailed ya!" he yelled out in victory, his paw landing on the small rodent's tail. The mouse bobbed back and forth, trapped by his own tail as though it was a leash to it's dog. A light snow fell building themselves up on the ground all around the pup and his prey. "Any last words?" he questioned the mouse.

(In case you don't know, Namine's on my back. We continued from the last post.)
The snow gently fell around Mingan, The wind whistled sourly as it went against his tall muscular body, he'd been walking all day with the cold in his face and sharp twigs hidden in the blanket of snow that occasionally stabbed his paws as he wandered along the path. Mingan sighed, At least it was finally quieter than before, when Namine was awake that is. Now the forest stood still and quiet, the only activity were small rodents scampering across the forest floor but Mingan didn't pay much attention to them, they were Petty and not worth his time.
It was maybe because Mingan was in a daze that he didn't notice a small pup, maybe a bit older than Namine, was pouncing about trying to catch something. When it did finally catch his wavering attention he stopped, "Maybe his dinner?" he thought as his own stomach growled. Mingan glanced at the sleeping Namine, "She'd be angry at me if we don't introduce ourselves, Why am I prone to meet pups among my journey...?" He mumbled to himself. Mingan continued to walk down the snowy path when he heard the pup shouting among himself and the rodent supposed to be his food. "It seems its just a game to him... Hmmph why are all you pups the same?" He pondered while still walking towards the smaller wolf. Mingan noticed the snow beginning to fall a little harder than before, making the young pup harder and harder to see, he could just sniff him out but it would be much easier if his small comrade were to do it, since his sense of smell was not the pedigree standard that hers was. Mingan again, looked over his shoulder at The sleeping pup on his back, "Namine why aren't you ever awake when I need you to do something for me?" he groaned. Mingan shook his body like as if he'd just come out of a bath to wake up his little hitch hiker, what was the point in finding a pup and approaching it if the other pup he did it for wasn't awake? Completely consumed in his own matters Mingan found himself startled from the shout that the young male wolf made when he claimed his victory, "He got closer than I thought." Mingan observed as he helped Namine up after he violently shook her off seconds ago.

THUNK, "OOF!"
Namine landed a few feet away from the large male, tumbling and bouncing through the snow like a rock, she tried to get up though failed many times since her dizzy clumsiness got the better of her. "Why'd you do that for?!" Namine shouted in a panicked voice. She saw Mingan walk over to her to help her up, but she got up and turned her head away from the large brute, only to notice that a pup a little bigger than her was squishing a mouses tail between his paws.
Forgetting all about the violent wake up, she trotted right over to the other pup with a playful pattern of hops and skips, she heard him talking to his prey like it was another wolf, "Like a cool game!" she thought excitedly as she stopped a few feet behind him. "Why are you talking to a mouse?" she asked innocently, even though she knew the answer already.

The pup didn't think twice about having company. At least not at first, while he was still preoccupied with his dinner. He simply responded to their voices, not bothering to look, unconcerned that the unfamiliar voices could have meant him harm. "Taking to ah maous!?" he mumbled, speaking as he held the mouse's tail between his teeth. The critter dangled below his jaw, wiggling it's forepaws in search of solid ground. "Dis is no regular maous!"
He released the rodent's tail so that he could speak clearly, quickly catching it underfoot so that it would not escape. Looking up and down at the two wolves, he figured that he was in no danger. They looked friendly and like most thick headed male pups, he imagined that he could take the both if it came down to it. Obviously not since he would be no match for the big wolf. "This mouse is infamous in these parts of the woods. Luckily I was here to catch him and put an end to his terrors." he smiled at the other pup with heroic dignity, "Annnywho I guess he'll due for dinner." he said, thingying his head and smiling as though his meal was something to brag over. Mostly it was a young soul, oblivious and optimistic against the dire situation. He was surviving off of small rodents which would soon be gone until the return of Spring.

Namine looked at the male pup with interest, she had never seen another pup other than her brother before. She listened to him brag over his dinner as the tiny morsel tried to escape its capture, Namine couldn't help but giggle a little, "So you caught that fast little mouse all by yourself?" she giggled in a cute way as she managed to say those few words, not meaning any harm of course. She'd realized something that she was kicking herself for not thinking of it earlier, she had just found a new friend, that is if he wanted to be friends, but she didn't pay attention to that small but important fact. Namine was overly excited now, she hadn't anyone to play with since her owners left her, She looked kindly at the bigger pup, maybe he'd be her friend for even just a little bit... She was soon lost in her own thoughts about playing with owners and being alone until she met.. "Wait," She thought, "Oh yeah, Mingan!" She looked over at the over-sized brute as he carefully watched over her and the male pup, Signaling he should come over and introduce himself Namine turned to the other pup standing in front of her as he continued to talk about the mouse, she had been amazed at the fact that he had caught an 'infamous' mouse. Being as naive as she was she looked at the pup in awe as she jumped up and down around him in excitement, Finally landing on her paws in a crouching sort of matter she looked at the pup happily inviting play.
"Thats pretty cool!" She said as she wagged her tail in an uncontrollable matter, "Oh yeah.." she said in a calm voice. "I have yet to introduce myself," she thought. "I'm Namine and that thick headed moose over there is Mingan." She smiled warmly at the other pup as he still had the mouse in his paws.
"Well you'll probably want to eat your dinner" she said in an concerned tone, well, come to think of it she hadn't eaten anything since last morning, and she looked at the large brute calmly sitting a few meters away from her and the other pup, "He's probably hungry too..." She mumbled under her breath, Namine felt sorta bad for Mingan taking on a burden like her, she felt bad until an new creature caught her attention, a fast white ball of fur gently hopped across the forest floor, not even noticing the three wolves standing a few feet away. "Maybe that rabbits an alliance of that mouse" She said laughing, she loved games like these. "Don't worry, my friend will get 'em!" as she again looked at the brute and swung her head again as a signal for him to come over.

Mingan watched carefully as his little friend introduced herself to the pup as he kept his mouse between his toes, he looked like he was in an relaxed state as he watched the two exchange words between each other, but the fact of the matter was that he was ready to pounce any second, he didn't want any harm to come to his little "sister", at least thats what he saw her as, Mingan looked at her with a surprised gaze as she signaled him to come over and meet the other pup, he looked a her with a firm tough guy look as he took a few steps forward and sat down, still a good couple of feet away from the two.
Mingan sort of just amused himself with watching the small pup jump around excitedly, he'd couldn't remember the last time he did that. Mingan looked at the other pup with confusion, "he's bragging over a mouse...?" He mumbled under his breath, the fact Namine was buying it confused him even more, "Well I guess its a fun game they're playing" He said as he lifted his large head into the sky, He stretched his large body out as his bones cracked breaking the long silence that surrounded him.
Mingan shook the snow off his body that had gathered on him, He felt ready to run, but with nothing to chase he sat silently watching over his comrade, he didn't want to run for absolutely nothing and waste his energy like Namine does on a regular basis. "That kids full of energy." He sighed. Sort of dazed Mingan looked at the ground, interested with the fluffy white snow that continued to fall, That is until, another creature moved across the forest, something larger than a mouse but not quite as big as a wolf, His stomach growled at the sight of the creature hopping along the snowy path completely unaware of the fact that three, well two hungry wolves were ready to get him. Mingan gave a quick glance at Namine, it seemed she to, had spotted the bunny as it hopped along gently, with her looking at him with a desired look he nodded his giant head gently and creeped up on the creature until it was only a few steps away.
With no warning to the rabbit whatsoever Mingan pounced on the mammal, The bunny of course struggled but it was no trouble for the large male wolf, his strong jaws kept it in place as he quickly killed the bunny by snapping its neck in an easy matter. Feeling satisfied with himself he grabbed the rabbit in his mouth and gently trotted over to the two pups waiting in the snow, he sat right behind Namine in a fashion where he was sort of leaning over her like protective shield. He plopped the animal right in front of her and in a proud voice he said "There." Now the bunny wasn't even quarter of the size of the animals he used to take down in the fall, but nonetheless it was food, and he could hear both his and Namine's stomachs growl, so it was a little appetizer so they could move on to more bigger prey ahead.

Shadow stirred in her sleep, the noises filling her ears. She opened one vibrant green eye and peaked out, making sure she did not blow her cover. At first glance, her hiding spot looked like a small gathering of snow. Seemingly natural, but in fact she had burrowed underneath the snow, her body much too small for her age, staying easily hidden. Looking around she noticed the two pups and the larger male. Though she did not know if there was any danger, her curiousity got the better of her as she rose from underneath her bed of snow.
She had always hated winter, where she was one to stay unnoticed winter did the exact opposite for her. Her thick black coat of fur glistened and stood out in contrast to the white snow around her, many flakes still sticking to her body due to cold temperature. She had slept enough, she decided quickly, as she shook out her fur. Though exhaustion still tugged at the ends of her consciousness. She had walked all night long, just barely getting to sleep before waking again.
She sat down and watched as the group hunted curiously. Who are they? She wondered silently. She had encountered many, during her 4 years of life, but never any other like this. So carefree...she mused. Such a large group was odd to see, especially to her who had been almost every where in search of that missing something in her life. Though she was used to being alone, she was drawn to them. Drawn to the happy and playfull air that surrounded them.
She smiled lightly as she bowed her head to show she did not mean any harm. "Hello," She said once again looking up and glancing into each of their eyes. "How do you do?"
