A black shadow moved swiftly through the dead, rotting trees. The shadow stopped in a misty fog, his light green eyes glimmered. The land was silent, besides the few snaps of twigs by prey. Transfer moved slowly across the terrain, carefully stepping over a dead tree. Looking to his left and right from time to time, Transfer kept his ears at the sides of his head, tracking other sounds. A light pink tongue swept over Transfer's jaws, picking up some 'remains' from his last meal. A large snap came from the wolf's left. He turned half his body torwards the sound, "To large for a rabbit..." he muttered lowly to himself.

A white pelt contrasted the dull atmosphere, moving quietly through the twisting forms. She glanced in each direction, listening for any possible sound. Lifting an ivory head, inhaling every scent that wafted into her direction. 'Prey.' she thought, moving towards a scent, but the alphess paused briefly, catching the scent of another wolf treading her lands. She started into a run, past the other wolf's presence, and snapped up a rabbit into powerful jaws.
Crimson liquid flowed from Sahtara's jaws, staining her pure coat. The wolf began to enjoy her meal, fairly comfortable and still very aware of the second wolf's aura.

The wolf took some steps backward, confused. A white blur just passed him, but Transfer was still in a daze. Transfer perked his ears forward, and went toward the scent. He traveled close to the trees, the living ones anyhow. Transfer stopped dead in his tracks, his ears lay back on his head, and a soft growl came from his throat but clear enough so the other would hear. Transfer saw the white pelt feeding on her catch. His muscles tensed, in case the wolf would turn suddenly, and attack, Transfer would be ready to fight back.

Gnawing on the small mammal, she was contented. She knew the wolf was coming near, she could feel it, smell it and hear it. Even so, she continued to eat. After the alphess heard his growl, she turned suddenly with her head held high showing her dominance. She was the dark queen, the ruler. Though, at this point she was only queen of a wasteland, she had no one to serve under her. She made no move toward the wolf, her posture was relaxed, bloody eyes scanning over the brute. "What brings you to my land?" she asked, her dark and smooth voice ringing through the hollow.

[glow=red,2,300]Her lands? My nose must be off.[/glow] Transfer swept his tongue over his muzzle, laying his ears flat against his head, while his green eyes looked at the white wolf. Giving out submission wasn't usually for the black pelted wolf, but these were her lands, not his. He studied his paws for a second, "Wandering" he muttered lowly. Transfer held his head up once again, hearing a twig snap, he changed his gaze to a mouse. It rubbed its paws over its head. Clearly it could tell the two hunters were there, it ran off. Distracked, the blending shadow turned back to the white pelt, waiting for an answer.

These were indeed her lands, though the wolfess had not yet explored the lengths of the packland, it was still hers. She stared down, ears completely erect and alert. While she analyzed the simple response, a twig cracked under weight. The sound was faint, a small animal obviously, she didn't even bother to turn and look. She didn't sense a threat in this wolf, but that wouldn't put her off of her guard. Even if this wolf shared her views, she wouldn't give out trust so freely.
Finally, after moments of silence, she gave her reply "I see." her tone was absolutely flat, gaze piercingly sinister.

Transfer flicked his ears. If that was it, the wolf would be on his way. He took a step back wards, not even looking at the white wolf. Understandings were very clear, she did not want him here. "Well then,", the deep low grumble of his voice. He walked away from the wolf, his head higher than before, but his ear lay back against his head. [glow=red,2,300]That wasn't submission, was it?. [/glow]The shadow growled to himself, shaking the idea from his head.[glow=red,2,300] Of course it wasn't[/glow]. He flicked his tail, irritably. Transfer wouldn't let his guard down just yet, actually turning his back to her was probability the dumbest thing a stranger wolf could do in someone else's lands. Anyhow, he'd be ready, determined to put the wolf in her place, alphess, or not.

The alphess's deadpan expression stayed. She observed, making no move toward the other wolf. She uttered "Where do your alliances lie?" his answer would probably determine if she would make the effort to gain a packmember. If not, she figured the wolf would overpower her with brute force, she would simply let him leave.
She did not move from her place, blood still stained the feme's pristine snout. Her meal was no more than a few scraps now, she focused all her attention to the wolf in front of her, vermilion eyes just staring straight through.
